Yes, that's correct! This is a mini tea pot by Cardew designs that is shaped like an antique sewing machine, hand crafted in England. It is ceramic, sealed with glaze, and embellished with 24k gold luster.
No detail has been overlooked in the design of this piece.
On top the blanket being sewn lies a ball of blue yarn wrapped in gold luster, a blue and white Japanese motif with architecture, birds, patterns, trees, two people on a bridge wearing hats and fishing, etc.
The sewing machine is also embellished with a spool of thread on top And 24 karat gold decals of floral scrolls and Cardew Design.
The sewing machine gently lifts off of the base to reveal the teapot.
The base of this teapot is hollow. The handle is very comfortable to hold because of scroll work. This was meant to be held-- even if it might feel too precious to do so! There are more goldluster details that say "infusion."
Finally, the piece is also inscribed on the bottom by Cardew Design, made in England.
